Sorry to see that it collapsed - I would not have thought of the springform. As you know, I just went free standing, which works perfectly well.

Ah well, collapsed it tastes just fine in any event!!Chris Panzahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01656795570624714115noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7881343651594566392.post-76750818221589909672011-02-10T17:08:30.835-05:002011-02-10T17:08:30.835-05:00I have made the Stud Muffin--crusty browned cheese...I have made the Stud Muffin--crusty browned cheese is quite an attractant for me. <g> I can't remember what cheese I used in it, though it was probably Gruyere.

For a total cheese/bread overload I also love the Gruyere-Stuffed Crusty Loaves on the King Arthur Flour site. I've made that one with a sharp cheddar.NancyBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02932498557111486912noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7881343651594566392.post-30713652612429983602011-02-10T14:13:10.205-05:002011-02-10T14:13:10.205-05:00Sorry to hear you had issues with this bread. The ...Sorry to hear you had issues with this bread. The top looks great! Golden and shiny. This bread actually reminds me of Rose's "Stud Muffin". Ever tried that recipe? I baked it in a round casserole dish and used cubed cheddar (I think Rose said to use Gruyere). I like the addition of meat in your recipe. Good idea on draining the fat.Hanaâhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15660317268731033542noreply@blogger.com
